This November Del Ray Artisans is bringing back our popular $100 and Under exhibit concept from 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 showcasing members’ original artwork, all priced at $100 and under. The art will be sold on an art-to-go basis, with buyers taking art home when purchased during the exhibit from November 1 – December 1, 2024. Artist Alexandra Schmeling will guide you in painting a watercolor portrait of your pet! Whether it's a dog, cat, bunny, turtle or something else, sign up for this workshop early! You must register by Monday, Oct. 28 to ensure Alex has time to do a great outline of your pet for you to paint! This is a series of two 2-hour classes on Wednesday, November 6th and the following Wednesday, November 13th. Are you ready to explore projects beyond flat knitting? This workshop will get you there. You will learn to work in the round and knit ribbing for this fun project, “Simple Hat - the World's Simplest!” by Stuart Moulder. You’ll have a new hat in just two weeks (2 sessions, 2 hours each). Girls’ Weekend is a lightning-quick farce, four women travel to Dot’s Northwoods cabin to consume copious amounts of wine, laugh at their lives, trade stories and chat about their book club’s latest selection. However, after the third case of wine comes through the door, it becomes clear there will be more stewing than reviewing. Unknown to each other, the four women try to sneak men into their girls-only weekend cabin. I mean, girls will be girls. If you want to laugh, you want to see this show. Confident City Cycling teaches you the skills you need to ride safely and confidently on streets and in heavily trafficked areas. The first half of the class will cover important bike handling skills and hazard avoidance maneuvers necessary while riding in traffic. Participants learn skills such as the avoidance weave, quick stop, rock dodge and instant turn, and discuss considerations for sharing space with other road users.
