A diary has been discovered that describes the heist of a money train from the CPR. It appears THIS was the funding that paid for the original development of Drumheller! Do YOU have what it takes to solve the clues and determine who were the guilty parties? It is well documented that Drumheller was built through the support of wealthy local businessmen, however rumours have circulated for years about the true origin of the town's funding. But now, a diary has been discovered that describes a secret meeting about the heist of a money train from the CPR, and it appears THIS was the funding that paid for new development in the town! A group of men known as the ‘Devious Dinos of Drumheller’ pulled off the robbery, and one of them, it appears, kept half the money for themselves. The RCMP have asked YOU, a renowned team of cluesolvers, to review the evidence and track down the names and alibis of the dozen people involved, and ultimately determine which of the Devious Dinos was responsible for stealing the loot. Do YOU have what it takes to complete the task? WHAT'S NEEDED: - One charged smartphone (iPhone 5s or newer; Android 4.4 or later)is required per group, - Comfortable walking shoes, - Dress for the weather, - Water is suggested. HOW IT WORKS: Start your game at any time, just finish before dark. 1. The Clue Solving Adventure is played using the Free App. You will need to download the App, go to the start location, enter the password and follow the clues. Data or Wi-Fi is only required to download the App and activate your game – it is not required while playing, the App has a REMOTE PLAY feature. 2. On the day you are planning to play, activate your game by entering your email address and booking code into the App 3. Go to the Start Location provided in booking confirmation, read your instructions and backstory, then enter READY to start the clock and begin playing. 4. If you are stuck on a clue ask for hints on reaching your destination or for solutions. These hints cost time penalties added to your final score but used strategically they may be well worth it! 5. Complete all the clues and solve the final mystery. Additional Information: Duration: 1.5-2 hours plus optional breaks. Season: available year-round. Walking distance: approximately 3 km. Group size: 2-5 people per team is recommended. Information Source: Epic Experiences | eventbrite

This year for our 11 th annual Badlands Boogie we are changing the dates from Sept Long Weekend to July Long Weekend. This will allow us to add an extra two days of free camping and an extra two days of live music, running June 27 th till July 1 st. This will coinside with Drumhellers July 1st Celebrations that include a free Pancake Breakfast, a large Parade, and a Great Firesworks Display. Drumheller Valley Will Be The Place To Be This July Long Weekend!!! The East Coulee Truss Bridge Preservation Society is very pleased to announce our 11 th Annual Badlands Boogie Music Festival to Save The Historic East Coulee Truss Bridge in Drumheller. This rare old wooden Howe Truss Bridge is located next to the Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site and was used for rail traffic, vehicle traffic and pedestrian traffic. It is the last of only two left standing in all of Canada . " Albertas Most Loved Old Bridge", "Albertas Most Historic Old Bridge", "Albertas Most Photographed Old Bridge", "Albertas Most Historicaly Significant Site At Risk Of Being Lost". We are proud to have had over 300 amazing bands perform and have brought over 3000 visitors to the Drumheller Valley over the last 10 years. We are so very hounored to have had so many amazing entertainers showcase their talents at Badlands Boogie over the last 10 years, including the late Harpdog Brown, the late Denny Eddy, the late Sonny Rhodes, and the late Dan Boden all play our "Little Festival That Could ". And we are very pleased to have hosted this fun family event since 2015, having put on a show every year, even in 2020 during Covid, " 11 YEARS STRONG ". Eary Bird Tickets go on sale February 1 st at only $75 for a limited time, after that they are only $100, for 5 nights of free camping and 5 days of live music, with children 15 and under always free when accompanyed by an adult. We regually have over 30 bands and over 200 attendees but we have had to turn away many bands, so this year we are extending our event from 3 days to 5 days with 5 days of live music rather than 3 days. This will allow our bands to enjoy more time on stage and will let us us accomadate even more great bands and entertainers for this years 11 th annual celebration. The magic begins on Friday June 27 th at 6 pm with an all star Jam Session and runs through till Tuesday July 1st at 9 pm. The live music runs Friday 27 th 6 pm till 12 midnight, Saturday June 28 th, Sunday June 29 th and Monday June 30 th 12 noon till 12 midnight and again Tuesday July 1 st 12 noon till 9 pm. We will once again have great vendors and we will have souvenir t-shirts, food, drink, water, and ice again for sale. New for this year will be a fully stocked beer garden with canned beer, coolers, wine and spirits located under large carnaval tents providing shade from the warm July sunshine. We have outhouses and potable water on site, group fire pits and, a sandy beach with dock, and lots of wide open spaces for hiking, biking, and camping, all set in the World Famous Drumheller Valley Badlands across from the Atlas Coal Mine National Historic Site. We always have professional photographers and videographers in attendance and we hope to have our event taped on video and drone, to produce a commemorative Badlands Booge DVD, " BADLANDS BOOGIE 10 YEARS OF LOVE ". This year we hope to celebtate Canada Day the evening of June 30 th with a huge Fire Works Display, and we are looking for Fire Works Sponsors, who will be credited on our posters, signage and t-shirts.
