Explore the art of photography with award-winning photographer Kevin Sawford at Carlton Marshes. Open to all levels of photography from beginners to experts. Kevin will guide you on the techniques you can employ to capture the perfect images of summer wildlife at Carlton Marshes and provide you with some hints & tips for getting the best out of your camera. You will receive one-to-one as well as group guidance on optimising your composition and have the chance to put some novel techniques into practice on this delightful reserve, capturing images of summer flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and birds. Please bring with you : All camera equipment (including spare batteries, memory cards) Various lenses if you have them from telephoto to wide angle and macro A tripod would be useful  Any refreshments you may need out on the reserve Lunch is available to purchase at the cafe but you may bring a packed lunch with you Notebook and pen Please wear stout footwear and weather-suitable clothing as a lot of the course will be outside. Learn how to create a needle-felted ladybird on this morning workshop with local artist Stephanie May from Mayflower Makes. This workshop is a total of 3 hours. Join Suffolk Wildlife Trust and foraging enthusiast, Jon Tyler, for an evening of wild cocktail sampling. Celebrate summertime on the marshes with an evening stroll examining our thirsty relationship with wild plants. The walk will be followed by a tasting menu of selected seasonal drinks inspired by the wild foods around us. This event is for adults aged 18+ only. Join local artist Becky Rix to learn this fascinating botanical casting technique. Join Becky for an introduction to botanical casting to create your own beautiful pieces of artwork to take home. Enjoy this relaxing workshop where Becky will show you how to choose plants based on their structures and form, including native plants found on the reserve, to achieve a beautiful composition for your fine piece of artwork. You can take a look at Becky's work on her Instagram  @hopecottagebotanicalarts .  The workshop is 4.5 hours including a lunch break or a short walk around the reserve.  Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting a bit messy, sturdy footwear.  All materials will be provided for the workshop. Basic bike control lessons for young children. Get tips and hints from our instructors to bypass stabilisers and gain confidence quickly to carry on after the session. Children can bring their own bike or ride our balance bikes and/or bikes. Please remove stabilisers before attending the session. Children do not need to be able to ride prior to the course. • Participants are required to bring an energy packed snack and no fizzy drinks • Required medication must accompany the participant In the past parents have brought along their babies and toddlers, this has proved to be unsuitable as you will need to give your child your undivided 1:1 attention to get the most out of the session .
