“Strength Inspires” is a bench press only charity meet that will benefit the Get on Track Illinois (GOT) is a 501(c)(3) Illinois-based nonprofit organization that motivates technology-addicted youth and adolescents to disconnect from electronic devices and embrace a healthier lifestyle through movement, nutrition, and personal development. All direct donations and proceeds from the event benefit individuals participating in GOT health and wellness programming. In addition to entering the contest, we are asking each lifter to set-up an individual fundraising account on GiveLively.org with a goal of raising a minimum of $100. The Big Five Marathon is a marathon race situated on the savannahs of South Africa. The race gets its name from the famous animals of Africa referred to as The Big Five Game: lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. The course of The Big Five Marathon runs through the private game reserve Entabeni in the Limpopo Province, situated between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. Even though the course runs directly through a lion territory, safety problems will not be an issue as the route is watched by helicopters and armed rangers.The course of the marathon is atypical for its magnificent savannah scenery among the wildlife of South Africa as well as for its toughness. Even though the marathon is taking place in the wintertime, the sun can be brutal on the open savannahs. In addition to this, the course will be ascending quite a lot from beginning to end.Runners from all over the world will meet in one of the most spectacular “Big Five” game reserves in Africa.In these magnificent surroundings, one can combine exciting game drives with a challenging marathon route going right through the habitat of the most famous African game: Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard. No fences, no rivers, nothing at all separates the runners from the African wildlife.

The Lombard Brew Fest will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The Fest will feature a wide variety of special beers, ciders, and hard seltzers from the Chicagoland area, as well as around the Midwest.
