Teach the Teachers Workshop | 202 Main St
Arts
Art Start Northwest is hosting a FREE visual arts workshop called "Teach the Teachers Workshop" for elementary school teachers in the Edmonds School District. The workshop is open to teachers from Cedar Valley, Chase Lake, College Place, Lynndale, and Spruce Elementary. Whether you have a strong background in art or not, all teachers from these selected schools are invited to attend.
During this two-hour workshop, you will learn how to utilize the art supplies that have been donated to your school, enabling you to create engaging and impactful art lessons for your students. Additionally, you will gain access to age-appropriate art lessons and learn how to use art as a transition tool in the classroom. The workshop will cover various topics such as incorporating visual art into your classroom, art appreciation, demonstration of materials, art project ideas, scaling projects for time and student age, and caring for your new school Art Supplies cabinet.
The workshop will be led by experienced art instructors, Mary, Missy, Amy, and Lisa, who have a combined 40+ years of teaching art to students. You have the option to choose from three workshop dates: Friday, October 13th from 4:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday, October 14th from 10:00am-12:00pm, or Saturday, October 14th from 1:00pm-3:00pm. The workshop will take place at Graphite Arts Center, located at 202 Main St. in downtown Edmonds.
Not only will you have the opportunity to learn and collaborate with like-minded teachers in your district, but you will also receive 2 clock hours upon completion of the workshop. Art Start Northwest is an OSPI approved clock hour provider. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to enhance your teaching skills and make a positive impact on your community.
