Join the excitement in Sonoma County and learn the art of East Coast Swing Dance! Jasmine Worrell is hosting a 4-week series in Petaluma, perfect for absolute beginners. This beginner-level series is open to everyone, whether you come alone or with a partner. Get ready to embrace a new and fun hobby -- Swing Dancing! The series will take place at the Hermann Sons Hall, located at 860 Western Avenue in Petaluma. The lessons start on Thursday, November 2, 2023, and run for 3 consecutive Thursdays in November. Please note that there will be no class on November 23 due to Thanksgiving. The final class will take place on November 30. If you can't attend all 4 classes, don't worry! Contact Jasmine Worrell for next steps. She will be happy to accommodate you. And if you already have some swing dance experience, there is an intermediate level available as well. Intermediate classes run from 6-7pm, just before the beginner class. Swing Dance is a lively and social partner dance that originated from Lindy Hop in the 1940s. It is based on six-count patterns and can be danced to swing jazz, blues, and rock and roll music. No experience or partner is needed to join the class. Just show up with comfortable shoes and a bottle of water. Jasmine Worrell, the experienced and encouraging instructor, has over 15 years of swing dance experience.
