Parasport 360: Discover Goalball | Delta Sports Hall
Sports & Fitness
Immerse yourself in the world of goalball at Parasport 360: Discover Goalball in Singapore. Led by national athlete Coach Joan Hung, who was a member of the silver-winning team at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, participants will learn the essential techniques of goalball, including blocking and rolling, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the game's rules. This unique opportunity allows individuals to engage in matches under Coach Joan's guidance, with eyeshades, knee, and elbow guards provided. The Goalball29 Project, backed by Certis, supports this initiative. Goalball is a team sport tailored for the visually impaired, involving scoring by rolling a ball with bells into the opponents' goal while players rely on auditory cues to block it. Open to individuals aged 7 and above with visual impairments, sessions are held twice a month on Sunday afternoons, including upcoming dates such as April 21 for a friendly match. Additional sessions occur weekly on Mondays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. For further information or to participate, contact Ryna at community@sdsc.org.sg. Experience the thrill of goalball at no cost at Delta Sports Hall, 900 Tiong Bahru Road, Singapore, on May 5, 2024.
