Join the Manchester Museum in their collaboration with artist and Culture Champion Yvonne Noworyta for a series of drawing workshops designed for the curious individuals aged 50 and over. These workshops provide a unique opportunity to tap into your inner artist while exploring the fascinating objects that make up the Manchester Museum's world-class collection. Led by Yvonne Noworyta and with the guidance of museum staff and volunteers, participants will gain insight into the specimens and objects on display during each session. These workshops foster a helpful, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere, welcoming individuals of all abilities and backgrounds. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal opportunity for beginners and seasoned artists alike. The sessions will cover a range of topics, including the Botany Collection, the Egyptian Collection, and the Zoology Collection. From exploring the artist's toolkit to creating detailed observational drawings, participants will delve into various techniques, materials, and approaches to unleash their creativity. The workshops will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a nearby break-out space available and complimentary tea and coffee provided.
