Join Oliver Bliss for a captivating visual arts workshop at Sugar Daddy's Café in Worcester. This workshop is part of the esteemed History in the Making project, a year-long celebration of Worcestershire's rich heritage and the voices of underrepresented communities. Thanks to the generous funding from Arts Council England and additional support from Worcester City Council, all of the activities in this project are completely free for attendees. Drawing inspiration from the fascinating collections at Worcestershire Archives and Worcester Cathedral's Library, facilitators Oliver Bliss, Gerard Winter-Hughes, and Holly Winter-Hughes will guide participants through a series of engaging workshops. These workshops will utilize creative prompts to inspire thoughtful artistry and stimulating discussions. Participants are also welcome to share their own stories of Worcester and their personal connection to the city. This remarkable project will culminate in a published anthology, captivating joint visual arts and poetry exhibitions, and a poetry map highlighting Worcester's significant community spaces. The three partnering venues, Worcester Cathedral, Worcester Archive & Archaeology Service at The Hive, and the vibrant Sugar Daddy's Café, each possess their own distinctive place in the city's history. These venues will help shape and inform the creative work produced during this community-focused endeavor.
