BFC BOXING is set to make its way to Kenner, LA on November 11th for the highly anticipated BATTLE OF THE BADGES BOXING event in New Orleans, Louisiana. This Bayou Fighting Championship event is aimed at bringing together first responders in a friendly amateur boxing competition, all while raising funds for local, first responder charities. First responders from the Fire Department, Police Force, EMS, and Military are encouraged to participate and showcase their skills. It's a great opportunity to invite your squad, friends, and family to witness the competition while supporting a worthy cause. All charity proceeds will go towards funding first responders' causes, including Deputy Dante Vega. Safety is a top priority, as the event is fully insured and will have official ringside physicians and EMS personnel present. Experienced officials from the Louisiana Boxing, Wrestling, and MMA Commission will supervise and referee all matches. Both male and female participants of varying ages are welcome to apply, with matches being determined by age and weight. Weigh-ins will be held the day before the event, and each bout will consist of 3 rounds lasting 1 minute and 15 seconds. All fighters must wear approved 16 oz. boxing gloves, along with wraps, protective headgear, a cup, and a mouthpiece. This event is specifically designed for individuals without extensive boxing, kickboxing, or Mixed Martial Arts experience, fostering a safe yet challenging and enjoyable atmosphere. Local New Orleans area boxing gyms will generously offer free training for participants.
