Join the Beginning Lapidary - Cabochon Cutting event in Seattle hosted by NW Rockhounds. This event, instructed by Carly VDH, will teach participants the art of cutting stone. Discover the process of transforming a rough stone into a beautifully shaped and polished cabochon, suitable for jewelry or display cases. Gain expertise in using stone-cutting tools and become comfortable working with equipment. In this class, you will have the opportunity to cut Brazilian Agate into a calibrated oval shape. Please note that the class size is limited to four students, so secure your spot today. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23rd, from 11 am to 2:30 pm. The ticket price is $90, which includes all necessary supplies. This class is a requirement for the open lapidary studio. Remember to check your email a few days prior to the event for further instructions. Additionally, earplugs will be provided, as the class involves working with loud equipment. Masks are optional, except during a specific stage of the stone cutting process where they will be provided.
