Explore and share the various shapes and forms of zines at the Beyond Mini Zines event, a part of the Edinburgh Zine Festival 2024. One of the favorite styles is the 8-page mini zine, created by folding a single sheet, making it easy to produce and perfect for sharing. However, this workshop aims to go beyond the mini zine and discover the endless possibilities of different folds and forms. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the blurred line between zines and artists' books, exploring concepts of reproduction, form, and labor. Whether you already have a fold or form that you want to share, or you are open to learning and exploring, this workshop is designed to encourage a dialogue between zine makers and artist bookmakers. Taking place at the Fruitmarket in Edinburgh on February 11, 2024, the event promises a relaxed atmosphere where participants can exchange ideas and techniques. Tickets are available for £5, but we don't want financial barriers to prevent anyone from attending.
