With a career spanning 10 books and poetry pamphlets, including the acclaimed "The European Eel" and "Englaland", Ely has established himself as an award-winning poet and writer based in Yorkshire. In addition to his literary achievements, Ely also teaches creative writing at the University of Huddersfield, where he serves as the Director of the Ted Hughes Network. Furthermore, he has delved into the world of biographical work with his book "Ted Hughes's South Yorkshire: Made in Mexborough", which explores the early Yorkshire years of the esteemed poet. The book launch for "Eely" will take place on Thursday, April 25th at Small Seeds in Huddersfield. This event promises to be a momentous occasion for poetry enthusiasts and admirers of Ely's work.
