Dance & Movement Days in St. Catharines is a remarkable monthly workshop series that encourages embodiment, curiosity, diversity, and community. From October to March, talented local artists and movement practitioners, hailing from various backgrounds, come together to share their embodied practices with the local community. These 2-hour workshops take place once a month and offer a unique opportunity for community members to learn and experience different movement techniques. The series unfolds across multiple locations in the Downtown core, aiming to enrich the community's understanding and appreciation of the local arts scene. This initiative strives to introduce meaningful methods for locals to connect with their bodies, the built environment, and the people around them. Thanks to the Culture Builds Community Grant from the St. Catharine's Cultural Investment Program, as well as the generous support of our Venue Partners, such as The First Ontario Performing Arts Centre, Avenue Ballroom, The Niagara Artists Centre, The St. Catharine's Public Library, Suitcase in Point Multi-Arts Company, and Westview Christian Fellowship, Dance & Movement Days has become a reality.
