The VASD Program is delighted to present the DEANNA MARSIGLIESE - The Art of Exploration Artist Talk. This free and public event will take place at RMCAD's Mary Harris Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. Deanna Marsigliese, an Italian-Canadian animation art director based in San Francisco, CA, will be the esteemed speaker for this occasion. Marsigliese, known for her exceptional work in character and costume design, has been a valuable asset to Pixar Animation Studios since 2012. Her impressive list of credits includes renowned films such as Soul (2020), Onward (2020), Toy Story 4 (2019), Incredibles 2 (2018), Bao (2018), Inside Out (2015), and The Good Dinosaur (2013). Notably, Marsigliese recently served as both character art director and animation sketch artist lead for Pixar's Luca (2021). During her Artist Talk, titled The Art of Exploration, Marsigliese will delve into the concept that though many people look, only a few truly SEE. She will also share the creative habits that keep her engaged and inspired in her work. This event marks an exciting addition to the 2023/2024 VASD Program Series, which showcases exceptional artists and their work.
