The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show is an immersive experience that takes place in Des Moines, Iowa. Held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Des Moines Downtown, this interactive murder mystery show is sure to captivate and entertain. Unlike other murder mystery dinner shows, The Dinner Detective takes a more modern approach, with no cheesy costumes or rehearsed dialogue. The performers blend in with the guests, making it difficult to discern who is part of the show and who isn't. Throughout the evening, detectives will interrogate everyone, unraveling clues and secrets as the mystery unfolds.

Tickets for this event include a delicious four-course meal, featuring a chef's selection of hors d'oeuvres, a field green salad, and a choice of entree such as Asiago encrusted chicken, roast pork loin au poivre, or eggplant parmesan. The meal concludes with a delectable NY style cheesecake. Coffee and tea are also included, and a cash bar is available for those looking to enjoy a drink.

Please note that prop guns, loud simulated gunshots, and short lighting blackouts are used as part of the performance. The show does not have a specific theme or time period, and the performers are not in costume. Guests have the option to participate in the show, but it is not mandatory. However, be prepared for interaction and possible interrogation from other audience members, as the actors are hidden throughout the room.
