Attend the regional finale of Bretagne for Les Petits champions de la lecture in Rennes. This event celebrates the art of reading aloud, fostering a love for books among young readers. Established in 2012 and led by Antoine Gallimard, the association aims to cultivate children's passion for reading. Students in CM1 and CM2 are encouraged to showcase their public reading skills by reciting a short excerpt from a youth novel of their choice, not exceeding 3 minutes. Annually, the association hosts a reading competition where 150,000 children from 5,765 CM1/CM2 classes across France participate. Reading aloud not only sparks a passion for literature but also boosts the confidence of young champions through public speaking. In the regional finale on May 15th at the Bibliothèque des Champs Libres in Rennes, 9 talented children will vie for the top honors.
