Grant Writing Part 2: Grant Writing + Feedback Session is an upcoming event in Kitchener that aims to support artists in the visual and media arts field with the written component of their grant applications. The event is hosted by the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery and funded by The Keith and Winifred Shantz Foundation, with the venue being the Waterloo Region Community Foundation. Isabella Stefanescu, a local media artist and experienced grant writer, will be facilitating this two-part workshop organized by CAFKA. During this workshop, participants will receive valuable insights into grant writing strategies and will also have the opportunity to receive feedback on their in-progress grant applications. It is important to note that while this workshop is Part 2 of 2, attendance in Part 1 is not a prerequisite for registration. All visual and media artists in the Waterloo Region are welcome to join. The workshop will take place at the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery's Community Access Space and will provide snacks and refreshments for participants. CAFKA members can attend this workshop for free, while non-members can register for a fee of $5. Additionally, the event follows a "no one turned away for lack of funds" policy, and individuals can support CAFKA by purchasing a membership. To ensure that Grant Writing Part 2 reaches as many interested individuals as possible, registrants will be contacted before the event to confirm their registration. It is essential to confirm registration, as failure to do so may result in cancellation to accommodate individuals on the waitlist. If the workshop is already full, individuals can email Julie to be added to the waitlist. Waitlist members will be contacted 48 hours before the workshop if additional seats become available.
