Experience the wonders of the Walters Art Museum through guided tours tailored for PreK-12 students. These in-person school tours offer a unique opportunity to explore the museum's diverse collection while engaging in enriching discussions about art. Choose between docent-led or self-guided experiences by completing the registration form to secure a spot for your school group. Guided tours, lasting 75 minutes, are available on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., as well as Fridays at 10:00 a.m., accommodating groups of ten to 80 students with a mandatory one chaperone per every ten students. Delve into fascinating tour themes such as Ancient Cultures, ideal for grades 2-12, Telling Stories in Art, suitable for grades K-12, and Animals in Art, recommended for PreK-3. These thematic explorations offer a captivating journey through art history, encouraging students to analyze, interpret, and appreciate art in various forms. Tours are complimentary, with a suggested student contribution of $7 to support educational initiatives.
