Hercules of the Hills 20 - Novice Powerlifting Competition is an open event that welcomes lifters of all levels. Whether you are a novice powerlifter who wants to experience the thrill of competing for the first time or if it has been a while since you last competed, this is the perfect opportunity for you. The competition offers a platform for novice lifters seeking their first taste of competition, as well as anyone who wants to participate in a friendly and supportive environment. The event features the 3 Lift (squat, bench, and deadlift), as well as Bench only category. The competition follows the IPF rules, which include a 2-hour weigh-in, the use of a combo rack, and 20kg power bars. Detailed information about the IPF rules can be found on their official website. The weigh-in will begin at 7 am, followed by the lifting sessions starting at 9 am. While no specific equipment is required, participants are advised to bring knee high socks for deadlifts and closed-in shoes for their safety and comfort. Federation membership is not necessary to participate in this event. The competition is limited to 30 lifters, but in case of high demand, it will be expanded to accommodate up to 40 lifters.
