Discover the art of actively listening, utilizing personal experiences to craft captivating stories, and honing the foundational principles of improvisation. This introductory class will equip participants with the fundamental skills needed to thrive in the world of improv. With a focus on team building and the belief that when your teammates shine, so do you, this course emphasizes the importance of understanding basic scene work techniques and, above all, having fun. Laughter and stage time are guaranteed. Under the expert guidance of our esteemed faculty, students will develop the ability to become better listeners, conquer fears, unleash their creativity, expand their social circles, enhance problem-solving capabilities, build confidence, embrace failure, adopt a more positive outlook on life, step out of their comfort zones, polish public speaking skills, and uncover hidden aspects of their true selves. This level serves as a prerequisite for future levels of improv training. The class will take place over 8 Monday sessions, from 7:00pm to 9:30pm at 5700 6th Ave S Suite 109, Seattle, 98108. Maximum capacity: 16 students. The cost of enrollment is $275.00 ($287.39 including fees). No prior experience is required, and the course is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
