The Walters Art Museum welcomes adult and college groups to experience the exquisite Walters collection through in-person tours. Immerse yourself in the galleries with the option of docent-led or self-guided exploration. Reserve a date for your group by completing the registration form. These tours are absolutely free, although a voluntary contribution of $7 per participant will greatly support our educational programs for the community. Docent-led tours are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, lasting for 60 minutes. For a more personalized experience, weekend tours or self-guided exploration can be arranged upon request. To make a reservation, a minimum of 5 participants is required. After submitting your tour request form, a member of our staff will reach out to you within five business days to confirm the details. Highlights of the Walters Collection showcases the remarkable pieces bequeathed by Henry Walters and his father, along with recent acquisitions. Across Asia - Face of the Divine delves into the artistic achievements of various Asian cultures, depicting deities, holy individuals, and sacred spaces. Across Asia - Hand of the Artist showcases the skill of artisans from across the continent, with stunning metalwork, enameling techniques, wooden joinery, and intricate jeweling. Opening in December 2023, Ethiopia at the Crossroads offers a unique exhibition celebrating the artistic traditions of Ethiopia. Discover the origins and evolution of Ethiopian art within a global context.
