This three-hour session offers an opportunity to acquire the fundamental skills of Mig and Arc welding. Participants will have hands-on experience using scrap metal to practice and enhance their welding abilities. The workshop introduces the techniques of Mig, Spot, and Arc welding, providing a comprehensive understanding of their applications. Beginners and those looking to improve their skills will benefit from valuable tips and tricks. Participants will familiarize themselves with welders' terminology, types of joints, and problem-solving techniques. By learning to join steel together, participants will gain confidence and proficiency in welding. The workshop allows for ample practical time to utilize a Mig welder and construct unique steel objects using a variety of shapes. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to work with a spot welder to connect sheet steel and experiment with an arc (stick) welder. An angle grinder will be used to prepare and finish parts. It is important to wear old clothes and sturdy footwear. Basic materials will be provided. The course is priced at £65 and will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm. There are six spots available.
