Jackson 2bears presents his multimedia masterpiece, Ne:Kahwistará:ken Kanónhsa’kówa í:se Onkwehonwe, in collaboration with 2RO MEDIA. This innovative VR installation, developed in partnership with members of the Six Nations of the Grand River Community, will captivate audiences at the 2RO MEDIA Festival in Ohsweken in October 2023. The installation showcases a 34-foot panorama screen and multiple projectors, creating an immersive environment enhanced by a 14.2 channel surround audio system. Ne:Kahwistará:ken Kanónhsa’kówa invites viewers to embark on a fictional journey through the Haudenosaunee Creation Story, exploring the cyclical narrative of the past, present, and future. The installation's impact extends beyond its static presentation, transforming into a dynamic space that hosts impromptu performances, dance, drumming, and various creative expressions. Supported by the MIT Co Creation Studio, MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST), and the Canada Council for the Arts, this event is a part of the Art, Culture, and Technology Program Lecture Series.
