JP KidsArts presents the annual anti-capitalist haunted house fundraiser, DOOMSCROLLING. This spine-chilling event takes place on October 31, 2023, at KidsArts, located at 6 Eliot Street, Boston, MA 02130. Come and enter a future timeline where everyday sights, from social media feeds to local shopping centers, take a strange and spooky turn. Created by the talented team of artists-as-teachers at KidsArts, this haunted house for all ages explores the eerie side of capitalism. JP KidsArts is a community-based after-school arts program, founded in 1986 by Jamaica Plain artists and active community members. Our goal is to provide children with exposure to visual and performing arts instruction. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, KidsArts empowers children through expressive arts, encouraging self-expression, empathy, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. By attending this event, you directly support our programming, enabling us to continue offering brave spaces for kids to create, dream, and imagine radically. Join us for a night of thrills and chills as we delve into the depths of an anti-capitalist haunted house. The event features a costume contest at 6pm, and masks are optional.
