The Lobs for Literacy 2024 Tennis and Pickleball Event is a wonderful opportunity to support the Room to Read literacy program while enjoying a day of sports and entertainment. Held at the Eastern Hills Tennis Club in Cincinnati, this event brings together players of all levels for a night of tennis, pickleball, and fun. With live music, delicious food and beverages, and an exciting raffle, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Since 2013, Lobs for Literacy has raised over $47,000 to help girls in Asia and Africa continue their education. By participating in this event, you are directly contributing to the Room to Read Girls Education Program, which provides vital resources for children in developing countries. With just $50, you can support a child in learning to read and write for a year, while $300 can help a girl stay in school for a year. The tennis format for the event is a round robin, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to play. Partners will be assigned by a professional, and each round will last for 45 minutes. There will also be pickleball courts available for those who prefer a different sport. If you're not playing one round and there is an opening in the other, feel free to join in. Tickets for the event are priced at $35 for players and $17 for non-players. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.
