The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class is an eight-hour course specifically designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude required for the safe identification, handling, and storage of firearms. This comprehensive course covers a range of essential topics, including gun safety rules, ammunition selection, pistol storage, shooting fundamentals, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Under the guidance of an NRA Certified Instructor, students will engage in live fire training and complete a nationally standardized shooting qualification. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a course completion certificate. To attend the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class, students are required to bring a properly functioning handgun, 150 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. However, firearm rental and ammunition are available for an additional fee if needed. The course will take place at the APHF Shooting Center located at 6350 Horizon Drive, Titusville, FL 32780.
