Open Collective presents "My 5 Year Old Could Do That!!," a workshop led by artist Cherry Dodd. This engaging workshop invites participants of all ages to delve into the realm of abstract form development, harnessing the child-like joy of experimenting with color and shape. The focus is on DIY art-making, utilizing affordable materials to explore formality and convention. The session kicks off with a brief clothed life drawing segment, where participants will learn to capture the essence of bodily shape and create representative symbols of real sensations. From there, the workshop progresses to transforming these symbols and shapes into striking 2D or 3D forms. Materials such as paper, tape, PVA, poster paints, and colored crayons will be provided, but feel free to bring any additional materials you would like to incorporate.
