Durham Ballet Theatre (DBT) is delighted to present a sensory-friendly performance of "Peter Pan" at The Carolina Theatre in Durham on May 17, 2024, starting at 6:30pm. This free event welcomes audiences of all ages and abilities, including those with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, as well as individuals from group homes, hospitals, and economically challenged backgrounds. The enchanting performance follows the adventures of Wendy, John, and Michael in Neverland, where they encounter Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and other beloved characters in daring escapades. Guests can expect adjusted lighting and sound, lower noise levels, and the freedom to move around during the show. A designated quiet area will be available in the lobby, and assisted listening devices can be provided for the hearing impaired. Doors open at 5:45pm for general admission seating, with wheelchair seating available for up to 20 individuals.
