Welcome to Prince Poetry Beat, Feb at The Scottish Prince Palm Beach on the 3rd Monday night of the month. This poetry open mic invites poets to share their work in a warm and welcoming space. Poets of the street are especially encouraged to attend, as this event aims to bring together individuals with a passion for the written word. Prepare for an evening that is daring, bold, and full of words that will gently break and leave you with incomplete circles. You can expect to hear poems and stories from beaters, tweakers, street bleakers, tragic lovers, and politic martyrs who have found solace and inspiration at The Scottish Prince. Share your interpretations of the sky, your trials, and your own poems in the whiskey-warm atmosphere of the venue. This event will feature a captivating performance from Maja Hanna, a talented Theatre Creator, Poet, and Mentor. Maja excavates her own experiences and expresses them through jazz. She challenges the conditioning that promotes consumption over compassion and plays the role of a dancing fool who Loves All The Way. Through her storytelling, Maja aims to foster tenderness and togetherness, even if only for a moment. Maja Hanna brings a wealth of experience to her craft, with a background in theatre and acting for festivals and companies across the globe. She is also a director, storyteller, poet, improvisation teacher, and expression guide. Join us on February 19th at The Scottish Prince Palm Beach. Doors open at 6:30pm with an open bar. Poetry and recitation will commence at 7:30pm. Don't forget to put your name in the hat to recite at the door upon entry. Tickets are available online for $10 or can be purchased at the door.
