Join the Nova Scotia Non-Profit Housing Association for our 2026 AGM & Education Day! This year’s event, Stronger Together: Building the Sector, Delivering Homes , brings together non-profit housing providers, community partners, and policymakers from across Nova Scotia to strengthen the capacity, collaboration, and confidence of the non-profit housing sector. The AGM + Reception portion of the event will take place on the evening of June 16th, starting at 4:00pm. Education day sessions will be taking place on June 17th, starting at 8:00am and finishing at 5:00pm. Agenda details are currently being finalized and will be shared as they become available. About the event: As the sector continues to respond to growing housing needs across the province, this event supports the shift from planning and capacity-building toward implementation and housing delivery. Through shared learning, discussion, and connection, participants will explore how to work together to deliver more homes and build a stronger, more coordinated sector. It also reinforces NSNPHA’s role as a convener, connector, and catalyst for collaboration and sector-wide impact. Participants will have the opportunity to deepen relationships with non-profit housing providers, regional networks, and sector partners, explore shared solutions that reduce duplication and increase impact, and strengthen alignment around sector priorities and coordinated advocacy. FREEDOM EXPERIENCE is an elevated dance workshop and intensive experience designed to honour Afro-diasporic dance forms. Participants will engage in classes rooted in Afro-diasporic dance techniques , including foundational movement practices, party grooves, and contemporary forms shaped by Black communities. The experience is enriched by empowerment conversations and cultural discussions that encourage youth to explore identity, history, and collective knowledge through movement.
