Freestyle Now is excited to invite female and non-gender conforming participants to a FREE skatepark coaching session at the Port Kennedy Skate Park. Thanks to the City of Rockingham, this event will take place on January 23, 2024, from 3 to 5pm. Participants who identify with she/her or they/them pronouns in BMX, skate, and scooter are welcome to join. This coaching session is open to anyone over the age of 6 who is interested in improving their skills and learning skatepark etiquette. Participants are free to come and go as they please during the session. Our experienced Freestyle Now squad members will be available to provide technical advice, trick tips, skill development, and confidence building. At Freestyle Now, we understand that skills can be taught, but confidence is equally important. That's why our instructors focus on both aspects, using each participant's skill base as a stepping stone for advancement. Our instructors communicate effectively with the participants, ensuring that they understand important safety messages, such as the use of helmets to minimize potential injuries. To participate, all attendees must have their own equipment, wear a helmet, and have closed-in shoes. Participants under 6 years old will be assessed based on their ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as control their apparatus. Please remember to bring water and wear sunscreen. Parents of children under 12 years old are required to stay on site. Our coaching workshops are known for being fun, informative, and motivational. We cover all aspects of the sports, including equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. Join us for this exciting coaching session at Port Kennedy Skate Park on January 23, 2024. Remember, this event is exclusively for those identifying with she/her or they/them pronouns in BMX, skate, and scooter. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to improve your skills and have a great time!
