Spartanburg High School, a cornerstone of Spartanburg School District 7, is renowned for its rich musical heritage, boasting the first string orchestra program in South Carolina since 1920. Comprised of a diverse range of musicians from all four orchestras within SHS, this touring orchestra showcases the exceptional talent cultivated within the school's student body of around 2,000 individuals aged 15-18. The newly renovated SHS campus boasts cutting-edge technology and a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Theatre, providing a captivating setting for audiences of up to 1,000 guests. This year's tour continues the tradition of international performances, with previous trips spanning across Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific.
