CRLS Sisters on the Runway Fashion Show | The Foundry

Cambridge Rindge & Latin's Sisters on the Runway Club Presents CRLS Sisters on the Runway Fashion Show The Sisters On The Runway fashion show is a fundraising event to spread awareness about domestic violence and raise money for survivors. Sisters on the Runway is a student-run organization out of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Throughout its existence, this club has served as a safe space for young people to feel heard while sharing their experiences and stories. We hold workshops to engage in meaningful conversations and responsive actions connected to the essential issues of healthy relationships, misogyny, and domestic violence. In Sisters, we strive to raise awareness and funds in the fight for justice for survivors of domestic violence. Our annual fashion show was created to meet these goals. At the event, we will have a silent auction with prizes donated from businesses around Cambridge, and of course, present the Sisters on the Runway fashion show. All ticket and silent auction sales go directly to the Transition House, a local women's shelter in Cambridge, to support survivors in their time of need. Ward Hayden & The Outliers-Bruce Springsteen Pre Party w/Nic Panken | Lizard Lounge

The music of Bruce Springsteen done Outliers style May 21st at the Lizard Lounge with special guest Nic Panken! $60 Reserved Table for 2 $25/$30 GA Doors at 7 This album has been two years in the making and was born with the idea of balancing the scale. Following one of Massachusetts most notable Country artists directing their audience NOT to listen to Bruce Springsteen....Ward Hayden & the Outliers decided the best way to offset that negativity was to do something positive and delve into Springsteen’s epic catalog. Taking that journey with all its nostalgia, appreciation, and creativity is unequivocally positive. This album plays like a thank you note to The Boss, one that will resonate with Springsteen and Outliers fans alike. This collection of songs was chosen from the soundtrack to many people's lives who grew up in the 70s, 80s, & 90s. These are the songs that played while you hung out in your friend's kitchen, watched TV in your living room, drove your car home from school, or when you partied on the weekends. These songs earned their place in our lives, they've been there for us, they've been along for the ride. Ward Hayden & the Outliers NEW album "Little by Little" has taken the songwriting of Bruce Springsteen, channeled it through their country music filled hearts and minds, resulting in something extraordinary and unique. It's The Boss done Outliers-style. It's the music that's been our crutch to lean on, our shoulder to cry on, and the words that we sing out with joy at the top of our lungs. It's the music that taught us to love music, the music that makes us want to keep making more music, and it's meant to be shared. May 22nd & 23rd come celebrate the album release of “Little By Little” by Ward Hayden & The Outliers. Ward Hayden & The Outliers Nic Panken understands the perseverance of art and its intentions to ground and inspire us. He sees how melodies ruminate deep in the belly of uncertainty, blossoming to bring fresh clarity and a whispering optimism. Over the years, the Brooklyn-born songwriter has endeavored to spread the invigorating presence of song, initially through fronting the Americana-folk group Spirit Family Reunion and now, through his own evolution as a solo artist. Panken strives for equilibrium and purpose, and it's through his gorgeously sensitive yet gutsy delivery that an exhale can be found, away from our amplified anxieties and collective mourning. Now residing in Kingston, NY, Panken divides his time outside of music-making between working as a puppeteer, hosting his weekly radio show, and mixing sound at beloved local venue Tubby's. By immersing himself in the restorative power of the arts, every day is decorated with the potential to be present; to find new meaning and community through his various, purposeful practices. After years of relentless touring with Spirit Family Reunion, Panken found solace in staying still, and it’s in this shift that he began crafting what would become his new body of work.
