Join a one-hour docent-led tour of the highlights from the exhibitions at the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, Vermont. Located on a picturesque property encompassing a 19th-century stone farmhouse, three barns, and a reception center and cafe, this converted dairy farm offers approximately 6,000 sq. feet of museum-quality exhibition space. The campus is surrounded by 400 acres of pastoral landscapes and extensive woodland, with outdoor sculptures by renowned artists sprinkled throughout. The exhibitions are held seasonally from May through November, and visitors are invited to check-in at the reception center for the tour. Punctuality is crucial, as late arrivals after 10:15am will be unable to join the tour. However, all guests participating in a group tour are welcome to explore the exhibitions afterward for a self-guided visit. To enhance their experience, visitors are encouraged to bring their personal smartphones or small tablets, along with headphones. QR codes installed throughout the exhibitions provide additional information free of charge. A limited number of devices are available for guests who don't have their own. During your visit, take a break at the on-site cafe offering a range of refreshments, including sandwiches, salads, baked goods, snacks, bottled beverages, and coffee. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. In the galleries, young visitors must either hold an adult's hand or remain under their physical control. We do not admit groups with more children than adults, unless there is prior written agreement. Any loud or disruptive visitors, including children, will be asked to leave immediately. Consider the suitability of the venue if you plan to bring a child, as some exhibitions may contain potentially disturbing or explicit content. Childcare services are not available on-site. Additionally, we welcome all guests to explore the beautiful grounds and walking trails. However, appropriate footwear is recommended, and sharp implements, large handbags, backpacks, and pens are prohibited from the galleries. Visitors who behave inappropriately will be kindly asked to leave. For photography enthusiasts, personal use of cameras and videos is permitted unless previously approved. Feel free to share your photos on social media using the #hallartfoundation tag. However, the use of flash photography, tripods, selfie-sticks, and telephoto lenses is not allowed. Lastly, please adhere to our guidelines by refraining from bringing pets, food, or drinks into the galleries. Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the property. Umbrellas are available if needed, and ticket prices range from $9 to $18.
