Are you intrigued by the sport of curling? The Mayfield Curling Club (MCC) invites you to discover the excitement of curling at our upcoming Try Curling events! Curling has the power to make the winter season feel too short. Whether you were inspired by the Olympics or have always been curious about curling, now is the perfect opportunity to learn and experience the sport firsthand.
During our Try Curling events, you will receive a crash-course-bucket-list experience. This two-hour session will teach you the basics of delivery, sweeping, strategy, and allow you to participate in a mini game. The cost to attend is $70 per person and must be paid at registration. Please note that Try Curling is specifically designed for new curlers aged 14 and above.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we kindly request that you bring a pair of clean rubber-soled tennis or athletic shoes to wear on the ice. These should be separate from the shoes you wear outside to avoid tracking anything onto the ice. Please avoid wearing shoes with Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) soles, as they do not provide proper traction. Curling attire should be comfortable and practical, including pants that allow for easy movement and layers to adjust to the temperature on the ice.
