Join ACR's own Barbara Paris for an evening of painting and exploration! In this class, we will learn to draw and then paint sunflowers in the style of Vincent van Gogh. While we are waiting for the painting to dry we'll find treasures to accessorize our canvas, creating the perfect, multi media masterpiece! This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) Workshop. All participants must be 21 years of age or older. About the Instructor: Barbara Paris’s work can be found in many public and private art collections throughout North and South America. Currently based in Austin, Texas, she was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. Barbara received her B.A. in Art Education and B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Massachusetts. Barbara describes her work as intention. That is, she puts the paint where it belongs and the paint goes on to become what it is. She works with strong color and texture, adding elements such as glass and paper to the canvas, the purpose of which is to surround herself with things that make her feel good, and to share that feeling with others. As a regular tourist thought the process of entering the Parliament House was very cumbersome, but I didn&#39;t expect to check the bag I took with me to visit. Built in 1885, the building covers 51 acres and was designed by architects modeled on the Capitol in Washington, DC, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986. Amazing the passing of the world does not affect its appearance and internal structure, as always brand new, visitors can visit the government office, have time to visit around the building outside, from all angles to enjoy the century-old building.
