Attend the WCSU MFA Visiting Artist Lecture featuring the highly acclaimed illustrator, Magge Gagliardi. This event will take place on November 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Visual & Performing Arts Center, room 144, at WCSU's Westside Campus in Danbury, CT. The lecture is open to the public and admission is free, however, seating is limited. Magge Gagliardi is a renowned illustrator, designer, and commercial artist hailing from Connecticut. With a BFA in Illustration from Paier College of Art and an MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford, she brings a wealth of expertise to her craft. Magge also serves as an instructor of Digital Illustration at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, and is an active committee member for the Change in the Air Foundation Festival in New Haven. Magge's exceptional work has been featured in various esteemed publications, including Yankee Brew News, 3x3 Magazine, Collective Arts Brewing Zines, Connecticut Magazine, Hartford Magazine, New Haven Living Magazine, The Sacramento News Review, Ink Magazine, The Hartford Courant, The New Haven Advocate, The New London Day, and Tarnished Magazine. She has an impressive client list of breweries across the U.S., including Austin Street Brewery, Elm City Social, Housatonic River Brewing, and Fifty Fifty Brewing Company, among others. In fact, her work was recognized by USA Today's Top 10 Beer Labels in 2021. Magge's talent has also garnered numerous awards, including accolades from Creative Quarterly, 3x3 Magazine, Connecticut Art Directors Awards, and Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles.
