Write Off! is a noteworthy workshop and open mic event that offers a platform for practicing writers and the supportive public to share their works-in-progress and receive valuable peer feedback. This informal gathering takes place at the Garden Lounge Creative Space, located at 573 King Street in Newtown, NSW 2042. The event will be held on December 11, 2023. The Write Off! Workshop attracts a diverse community of writers at various stages of development, spanning a wide range of forms and genres. Whether you are a poet, songwriter, novelist, or rapper, this event welcomes all forms of writing. The evening will be filled with lively discussions, connections, and an opportunity to witness live performances. Even if you are not a performer, you are most welcome to attend and observe. Performers will also be available to read the work of those who prefer not to perform themselves. The event begins with a meet and greet at 6:30 pm, followed by performances starting at 7 pm. To support the Garden Lounge and assist with logistical planning for the event, a donation is encouraged for entry. Donations of $10 or more will even receive a complimentary coffee or chai. However, ticket sales have already ended. People of all ages are always welcome at Write Off!, providing a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow writers and appreciate the art of writing.
