About Air Transat

Air Transat (TS) is a Canadian airline that was founded in December 1986. Headquaterd in Montreal, Quebec, Air Transat's main hubs are Montréal–Trudeau International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport, with a focus city at Vancouver International Airport. Air Transat operates scheduled and charter flights for 4.5 million passengers annually to over 60 destinations in 25 countries. During the summer season, the airline predominantly flies to Europe, and in the winter, it focuses on the Caribbean, Mexico, the United States, and Central and South America. Over its history, Air Transat has gone through periods of expansion and consolidation, including a significant restructuring in the early 2000s. In 2019, Air Canada announced plans to acquire Air Transat, a deal that was finalized in 2021.In 2019, it was recognized as the World's Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax. The airline has a staff of approximately 5,000 employees.
