Surat Thani is a city that is located 651 Km south of Bangkok. It is the capital of Surat Thani province in southern Thailand. The city has a population of under 150,000 and is spread over 69 km. Surat Thani is located on the tip of the Tapi River in the Gulf of Thailand.
