A Flood Watch is in effect for Chicago and surrounding areas through this evening. Excessive rainfall, with heavy rain totals of 2 inches or more possible in a few hours over saturated soils, may cause flooding. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks, leading to flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
