There are so many good things about this place, I don't even know where to begin! They allowed us to check in early, and the staff at reception spoke fluent English and were incredibly friendly. The complimentary iced juice was also delicious and refreshing 🍹. When we got to our room, we were surprised to find a thoughtfully arranged small crab on the bed and a pandan leaf folded into a 'welcome' message – such a delightful touch! 😌 As a sea-view room, the beautiful scenery right outside and the clean, white sandy beach are almost the least of this hotel's advantages. Within miles, there's no place with better facilities or more stunning, pristine sand. The hotel's swimming pool is also top-notch and beautiful, with clean water, showing how well it's maintained. During the day, you can book a spa (not free), and it's incredibly therapeutic and peaceful, accompanied by the sounds of waves and birds. The therapist was gentle and attentive, even proactively applying herbal medicine when she noticed a wound on me 🌿. The hotel offers free paddleboards and glass-bottom boats for guests to enjoy. In the afternoon, there's also an hour-long surfing experience. The instructor, Anthony from the Philippines (I think that was his name, sorry I can't quite recall 🥲), had such a great attitude and was an excellent teacher – patient and enthusiastic. I actually learned to surf in just one hour! 🤣🤣 Regarding meals, breakfast is a buffet. Nothing particularly outstanding, but the variety is rich and the taste is good, pretty standard. I feel like a à la carte system would offer a better experience. For dinner, we booked a BBQ at the hotel, and there was a lovely singer performing. Even with few guests, she sang for us with great dedication 🎤. We were truly grateful, and it's worth highlighting that her skill level was incredibly high – she sounded amazing! 🥰 All in all, beautiful scenery, wonderful people. Golden Beach, you're awesome! I'll definitely choose you again next time! 😍😍😍

We dont know where to start but we did enjoyed our stays here. This place captured our heart and we wish we knew it earlier so we can come and spend at least 2 weeks here. Our room was just a few metres away from the beach and the food and service here is 5stars. They deserve a recognition for the food in the sunset restaurant and the breakfast ♥️♥️🙏🏼🙏🏼💖💖💖 We already feel emotional leaving this place, this place captured our heart and we will sure be coming back, if only we knew it earlier 🥹🥹😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️♥️

Novotel Sihanoukville – My Honest Review I recently stayed at Novotel Sihanoukville with my family, and unfortunately, the overall experience was below my expectations. The first issue was the hotel's policy on outside food and drinks. There is a sign clearly stating that outside food and beverages are not allowed. However, it doesn't seem to be enforced. The corridor on my floor was constantly filled with strong food smells, and even my kids' room was affected. The smell became so unpleasant that I had to request the hotel to spray the room. I also noticed that some rooms appeared to have more than five guests staying together. I'm not sure whether the hotel allows this or whether it is being monitored properly. I strictly followed the hotel policy and booked two rooms for my family, so it felt a little unfair if others were not following the same rules. As for the food, both the seafood dinner buffet and breakfast were just average. They were acceptable, but they did not meet the standard I normally expect from an Accor hotel. The room itself was comfortable enough, but the bathroom ventilation needs improvement. Whenever someone used the toilet, the smell spread throughout the entire room because the exhaust ventilation was not effective. The biggest highlight of my stay was definitely the hotel staff. Every team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the reception team to the restaurant staff and the swimming pool bar crew, they consistently provided excellent service. They were the best part of our stay. One major disappointment was the swimming pool. The water did not look clean, and it discouraged me from swimming. This was something I really did not expect from a Novotel property. Overall, I left feeling that the hotel has good potential, especially because of its excellent staff, but the facilities and overall maintenance need improvement. With better enforcement of hotel policies, cleaner facilities, improved ventilation, and higher food quality, I believe the guest experience could be much better. Overall rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Without a doubt, one of the best ocean-view rooms I’ve experienced in Sihanoukville. The views were stunning, the breakfast selection was excellent, and the huge swimming pool made the stay even more enjoyable.

I had an excellent stay. The room is clean, tidy and very comfortable to live in. The landlord is sincere, straightforward and warm-hearted. They always help solve any problems in a timely manner, and communication has been smooth throughout. Highly recommended!

Not worth it! The stuff is really amazing and helpful, however the place is not worth visiting. The nature, beach and activities are below average and do not match the luxury price the resort is charging. It is also near to a kinda port so you will see cargo ships passing near the island. You can see rubbish floating in the water around the island as well. The food is also average and overpriced. A papaya salad cost 20USD. For comparison it worth 2.50USD on the mainland. Another example, the resort car service ask 90USD for 30km ride. For comparison, the taxi from Phnom Penh to Angkor Wat with a distance of 320km worth 80USD. On my personal opinion, there is noting much to see and do on the island, and definitely nothing that justify the price.

Always a nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Great location, close to the beach, easy walk to beach to relax in the morning and evening. More enjoy with environment. We always make use of the pool area. I have stayed at the hotel previously and continue to return as it never disappoints.

Wonderful Stay at Jati Koh Russey! I had a truly amazing time at Jati Koh Russey. The hotel is very nice and peaceful. My room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made my stay even more special. The food was absolutely delicious both breakfast and dinner were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Most of all, I want to give a big thank you to all the staff. They were so friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you again for your kindness and great service. I have absolutely loved my stay here! My room was just perfect with a little plunge pool directly facing brilliant sunsets each night. The bed is massive and super comfy and they use lovely linen and fluffy towels! The staff are all so friendly and always make an effort to say hi whenever they see you. There are plenty of sunbeds and the beach is gorgeous. There are a few negatives but these are only for info only really. The resort is just that .. a resort. There’s not a lot around here .. a few makeshift mini marts and a couple of local restaurants. Apparently it takes 1 hour 45 mins to walk to Saracen Bay where there’s a bit more going on and I decided against that! I did get the taxi boat to Saracen Bay which I highly recommend, but it was quite treacherous getting on and off the boats and ensured I wasn’t in a hurry to do it again! The taxi is not free .. which I think is a shame based on the room rate .. and costs $10 return. Perhaps it would be more popular to do a ride there and back each day rather than separate trips for $10 a pop? I think the hotel could benefit from having a shop with products in like beauty products and chocolate and maybe offer some essential services like waxing in the spa? Just ideas to consider .. I will be sad to leave this little bit of heaven and hope to come back one day .. it’s been just lovely .. thank you 🌴

The Sokha Beach Resort is an old fashioned 5-star resort hotel in colonial style, situated at the beachfront in Sihanoukville. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are well maintained and are spacious with a balcony . There is a nice nice swimming pool with sufficient sun beds. A good continental breakfast is served. WiFi was working flawless, even at the pool area. However, there are points that made us shorten our stay. The private beach of the hotel is clean daily. Unfortunately; this is not the fault of the hotel, waste water of the city is discharged untreated into the bay so that the water is yellowish, probably contaminated with human waste. There is an unpleasant foul smell everywhere. During day time, permanent noise from a big construction site right next to the hotel is incommoding . In spite of the pleasant big park that belongs to the hotel, the surrounding next to the resort is spoilt by high rise buildings of which some are still under construction or are half-finished. They intend to be mostly casinos. We found this environment unpleasant. No good, typical restaurants could be found in walking distance. Altogether Sihanoukville is a dire place for vacation, unless the visitor is in gambling and casinos.
