Great
GGuest UserA bit on the outskirts of popular places but hotel is cery new and great for families, business people and those who can't get lodging during baseball season or ski season.
Very pleased with the place.
Wonderful new hotel, directly connected to the JR train and Chuo bus station.
Spotted a couple of grannies using the long covered indoor sloped path for strolling exercise early every morning. Good idea.
The hotel gym is spacious, well equipped, clean but underused.
Transport by bus is easy around Kitahiroshima.
No bath in our room but having a hot shower is really fantastic too.
Flip over the pillow, there's a surprise on the other side, we liked its firm and textured filling (plastic pebbles or beans?) Room even has a sofabed!
Tokou and Coop Elfin supermarkets, the friendly izakaya inside the bus ticketing station are very walkable. Google xlate is your friend here, like Cash & your physical Credit Card is in this area. Working people, friendly gruff guys.
Service was prompt, kind and friendly by the assistants at the self check in area.
One of the staff seemed surprised to hear that Singapore had no snow but was average 30-32°c and only had rain. Fair deal cos it was my 1st time being in snowy conditions too!
Shuttle bus for ES CON Field Stadium every 15 mins from beside the Lawsons of the same building. Pastry shop, Soft Serve shop served quality food at reasonable prices, no wait.
It's a wonderful place to stay with kids too. Many families there.
A nice place to start exploring from, away from all the crowds and traffic. Good for a slow pace I guess.
If you're a Fighters fan, this is the spot for you! Also, I guess in other seasons it is more forgiving too.
Snow there is so much cleaner and finer than in Sapporo. Loved it. Next time I'll start my trip from Tomakomai Port and move upwards perhaps and stay a few nights here again.
BBeliaYmy first time staying at a hostel and i am quite impressed. it is apparently quite new at the moment. it is clean in general. i booked a female only dormitory room for 4 nights and was lucky that i had the whole room for the first 3 nights. t
Owner is helpful and responds fast when i message them over trip.com. Worth the value to stay for those travel alone for ski/snowboard. Location is so convenient to the North Gondola.
AAnonymous UserRoom size is just nice, after open luggage still able to have walking space. There is public bath available in the hotel. Can see fireworks from the spot infront of the hotel but best to go slightly to the central area near hotel Hanabi to have a whole view of the fireworks. Photo of fire works is from near hotel Hanabi. Ordered Breakfast and it is good too.
MMattSchmattWe were here scouting a bit for the coming winter and really liked the location very close to the slopes and also a few restaurants a short walk away. Downside perhaps that no Lawson or similar in the immediate surroundings but maybe there was some other minimart around the lift station. Just spent a night here so not much time to drift around the area.
Easy parking in front, fast check in and a kind offering to help haul the suitcases upstairs. Hotel is in super good shape, felt almost brand new. Nice public area with couches and a fireplace. Room was good size and comfortable for 3 but especially for a ski resort it really lacked storage for clothes. Could easily have fit something under the bunk bed. Also in the bath theres no place to hang towels or clothes, just a really tiny foldable drying rack. Room fridge was not cooling either and pretty small.
Breakfast was set menu and nice for this stay but for winter I would rather have a buffet to load up for a day on the mountain. Might be though they change for winter and i realize that buffet may not be a sustainable option for low season and few guests.
All in all it was a good stay and we will definitely keep this in mind for the next visit to Furano 👍🏼
GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at FAV LUV Sapporo.
The price was very reasonable for the size of the hotel in Sapporo. The room was spacious and comfortable which feels like home. It’s so roomy that it can easily fit at least three luggages. The bathing area is also very spacious.
Most importantly, the room includes a microwave and a washing machine, which are especially convenient for long stays. The staff we met were all very friendly, including the room cleaning staff.
The only downside is that it’s a bit far from the train station—about 15 minutes on foot, and up to 20 minutes if you’re carrying luggage.
Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
EEng YeowThis review is for accomodation at BASE SHIRAOI at 199-327 Kitayoshihara, Shiraoi, Shiraoi District, Hokkaido 059-0923, Japan.
We were told to change to BASE SHIRAOI on the day of checking in due to paint smell at Manyi's Onsen House.
BASE SHIRAOI has everything we need. There are soy sauce, coffee beans, and wasabi, The host has even prepared child toilet seat and sanitary pads! LOL.
The unit is air-conditioned. We still used it though it was around 18 degrees during the night because we didn't want to open the windows.
Washing machine and dryer.
The unit has a dinning table and a big coffee table. A table outside the house good for BBQ.
You can dry your clothes at the entrance area, designed to hang big winter clothes.
The only issue is the private onsen and shower area that is not so private. The neighbor could potentially see you in your best naked shape through the transparent glass roof. We covered the glass window in the shower area with the styrofoam covers for the onsen. LOL.
Convenient stores are about 3 minutes.
Overall stay is enjoyable as the unit is big enough for 10 people. Quiet environment. Enough space to park few cars outside the house.
YYanxiaojiuIt is a B&B run by ********* and speaks Chinese. Dinner and breakfast are charged separately. Dinner is 4,500 yen and breakfast is 1,500 yen. I went there once in autumn and winter, and the food has not changed. If you are staying consecutively or going there for the second time, it is recommended to inform the owner in advance, and they will update some dishes for you. The room is a bit old and the public bathroom on the first floor is not open. If you have a car at night, it’s very convenient to go to Shinei-no-oka to watch the stars!
RRira AnneI am extremely disappointed with the service and the misleading room information provided by this property.
I specifically booked a twin room with two double beds. However, upon arrival, the room only had one double bed. This is completely different from what was advertised and what I paid for.
When I contacted the property to raise this issue, they insisted that the room has two double beds and can fit four people. In reality, there was only one double bed and a sofa. Later, the person in charge claimed the sofa could be used as a sofa bed. This is not the same as having two double beds.
This is misleading advertising and very unprofessional. If the room only has one double bed and one sofa bed, it should be clearly stated. Customers should not have to find out the truth only after arriving.
Very poor communication and unacceptable service. I would not recommend this property to others.
GGuest UserThe owner of the homestay actually asked me for 500 yen for the temporary price increase. I was shocked. Of course, I refused. I said that you have something to say to the platform. I have given the cost to the platform. Now the season of Meiyi does not need air conditioning or heating, my sister is also surprised after listening, saying how the Japanese do this now? This is all done by backward countries. It seems that Japan is really downhill now. People are poor and short. Horses and thin hairs are long.
AAnonymous UserI stayed on a Saturday night and was warmly welcomed by a sweet petite lady at check-in. I wish I’d asked her name. The building’s exterior looked like something out of Ghibli movie, and the interior felt like a cozy tavern from an anime. The room, toilet, and bath were all very clean. Highly recommended for budget travelers who value cleanliness and comfort. I wish I’d had time to try a meal at their restaurant. It looked inviting..
