GGuest UserThe hotel is a remodeled Japanese house and the whole environment is OK. The owner's predecessor is estimated to be a hunter, and the restaurant in the store has many animal specimens. The room is quite ordinary. There are two folding beds in the room, with air conditioning and heating. There are public toilets and places to wash outside the room. The public bath room has a hot spring pool of about 8 square meters, and the hot spring is quite good.
The owner is a couple aged about seven or eighty. The housekeeper's grandmother is very axes, can't speak English, and communication is difficult. When I left, I wanted to store my luggage temporarily. She was unwilling.
Because the next day was Saturday, the house price tripled, and I changed rooms.
It is more than 3 kilometers from Shiri-sapporo Station. It takes more than an hour to pull luggage on foot. It is very expensive to take a taxi and it costs about 2,000 yen.
SStabackThis place is just 5 minutes away from ishiuchi maruyama ski gondola. Great value place to stay which is easily bookable.
Owner provided transfer to and from echigo yuzawa station. Very friendly and even helped to carry the heavy luggage up the car and to our room. No lift access which is very common in smaller places like these.
Two private bathhouse available for sharing.
Rental price is great and he took great effort in ensuring fit. Also discounted gondola prices available.
Breakfast was delicious which was included too.
Overall owner and his wife are very warm to all the customers. Would stay here again!
KKatieKeiko was a lovely host. She was super friendly and welcoming to the area. She was available for any questions we had and was also able to provide a freshly cooked breakfast/dinner at a very small cost. There was free parking behind the accommodation which was great as we had our own entry/exit after hours.
The room was spacious, but while the heating wasn't very strong, the bedding was extremely warm and comfortable.
Would be more than happy to stay here again any time we're in the area!
GGuest UserThis homestay is located near the port, the location is very good, the transportation is convenient, the bus is really convenient,
The environment is clean and comfortable, and there is a small kitchen for everyone to cook for convenience, and the public area is spacious and comfortable! !
SSamHeartVery good location, near the train station, bus stop and Nagazato ski center.
the room is moderately spacious, but not soundproof
Shared bathroom with onsen bath
Very good food
the owner is nice, try to communicate with foreigners, recommend and lend snow boots
It is very suitable for people to go to snow ski snow in Yuzawa Nakazato.
YyeoGreat stay at a Japanese bed and breakfast style accomodation. Owners are an elderly Japanese couple who speaks average English but we get by. Free transport to and fro ski slopes even though they are a 1.2 km walk away from Akakura Onsen main street. Owner was also kind enough to drive us to the train station for our rest day from snowboard. Breakfast was great! Room had attached toilets and were super clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Will stay here again next time I come to Myoko Kogen
YYUEN HEIThere is a free bus to the hotel from Echigo Yuzawa. The Ishidaru ski resort is right at the door. There are discounts on the tickets. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. The hotel has a 30-minute private bath time for each room guest.
GGuest UserThe location was very good, and it was quiet on the opposite side of the bustling area, so the only sounds were the river and rain. It was nice. However, the room was not bad, but the walls were thin, so you could hear all the conversations of other guests. Unfortunately, I was with a group of noisy guests late at night and early in the morning, so I had a hard time falling asleep, and even when I did, I was woken up, which was a pain.
The room itself was small, but it was clean and enough for a night's sleep.
The bathroom was much smaller than it looked in the photos, and it felt cramped for two people. The towels at the foot of the bathroom were damp, so I wish they could be replaced or made of a material that drains water well.
It seems that they no longer offer breakfast service, but they had free water, coffee, and tea, which was very helpful.
Comfort depends on the guests you stay with, but overall it was a comfortable hotel.
AAnonymous UserVery tiny room. No check in counter. Even though we were the only guests, owner won't allow us extra pillows. Their pillows are sooooo soft. Security wise, anyone can walk into the guest room areas. Sure there's cameras but...
PPCCW18Excellent guesthouse with excellent hosts. Had everything I needed, a room to sleep, a mini bath house, and they served delicious breakfast and dinner. Close to snow resort and shuttle bus service. Would stay again.
