Absolutely loved this place! It’s an old building, but everything is very clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere is super cozy, It’s located slightly away from the typical tourist areas, which makes it peaceful and quiet, but still close enough to get anywhere easily. The town itself is calm and very pleasant to stay in, perfect for spending a whole day just relaxing in the courtyard without going anywhere. It’s also very accessible from Interlaken or Spiez — just a short 15-minute bus ride. Even though the bus only comes once an hour, it’s easy to manage if you check the schedule. Highly recommend this peaceful and charming stay!

We booked a room with shared toilet but paid more to changed to a room with private toilet. The room is excellent because we got the view of the mountains everyday. Was contemplating to stay between Interlaken Ost or Interlaken West, but i was travelling with an elderly so this is the best option. Interlaken OST station is a v good transport base for most places in Switzerland. Interlaken West is convenient too but u'd need to take a short bus ride down to the main station. There's alot of buses that are relatively frequent. However as my mother cant walk far, this is the best coz it is very walkable to the train station. There is a lift to all the floors and luggage storage is available. Our included Breakfast is good (meat, cheese, bread, eggs, yoghurt, conflakes, tea, coffee, etc). There's a dinner set menu (need to pay of course) tt changes every night. The food is food and is relatively cheaper if u have the set meal of the day. Would stay here again. There's a big Coop opposite also. However if u'd like more shopping... Interlaken West has more shops but they usually close abt 7pm. There's dinner places there that closes abt 11pm. If you're thinking if where to stay, i think if u have an elderly that cant walk much, Interlaken Ost.

This hostel boasts an unbeatable location, just a minute or two's walk from the Grindelwald Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning. You can gaze upon majestic snow-capped mountains and lush green slopes, a truly magnificent and healing view. The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience. The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped. Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice.

The facilities, cleanliness, and service were excellent. However, I booked late and ended up in a mixed-gender dorm. At 10 PM, the room had over ten people, but no one else had arrived except me. Around 11 PM, I was woken up by incredibly loud snoring. I was woken up three or four times throughout the night, and even earplugs didn't help. I was really exhausted. I recommend that women avoid booking mixed-gender dorms.

Grindelwald Youth Hostel offers a clean, comfortable stay with amazing mountain views and very friendly staff. The shower had steady hot water, and the hostel is easy to reach by taking bus No. 122 from the main station. The room did not have a hairdryer, but one could be borrowed for a 10 EUR cash deposit, which was refunded at check-out. Although the hostel is a bit uphill and not the easiest to reach, the peaceful atmosphere and good value make it worthwhile.

The location is beautiful, but the rooms are small, there's noise from everywhere, and the beds aren't good. It's not worth the price compared to other hotels.

Everything was so clean. The breakfast self service was decent and full of diverse options. The location is near the Bern train station. there is a steep path, but a cable car exists so you can use it if you have heavy luggage. When you stay at this hostel, you get free tickets for all forms of public transportation in Bern which was nice.

Super friendly staff, very good location, easily accessible by public transport. The room wasn't completely clean, sorry. But I'd be happy to come back.

One of the best stays I've experienced in my 12 years of travel history.Jugendherberge Schloss Burgdorf Hostel offers a unique experience, being an old castle turned into a beautiful hostel. The location is simply awesome. However, I made a silly mistake by not calling ahead to confirm my check-in time and ended up spending a night outside in the chilly weather because the reception was closed. Thankfully, a staff member arrived the next morning at 7:00 AM and I was able to check in. The breakfast provided is good, and the cleanliness and service are both commendable. The climb from the train station takes about 20 minutes, but it's well worth it for the incredible setting. Overall, despite my mishap, this is one of the best hostels in Switzerland and I highly recommend it.

The bus stop is very convenient as soon as the door is opened, but the Youth Hostel is not obviously a bit difficult to find. There is no elevator. It is quite hard to carry luggage upstairs. There is only one bathroom on each floor of the public toilet. It takes some time to wait. There is a shared kitchen, but the kitchen utensils are not enough. There are a lot of public spaces. This is good. 👍🏻
