Hostels in Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland

Probably my experience at this Lucerne Youth Hostel branch wasn't the best — though it certainly wasn't bad either. I suspect that was partly because I was coming directly from their Zermatt branch, where I had an absolutely amazing stay. I should also mention something I forgot to include in my Zermatt review: at the Zermatt Youth Hostel, they offer the thoughtful option of a lunch box if you can't stay for breakfast the next morning. The cook there made me the best sandwich ever 😍, which I enjoyed after my hike to the Matterhorn — with a Matterhorn view, no less! I think that's such a wonderful gesture for travelers. I asked about a similar option at the Lucerne Youth Hostel, but they didn't offer it, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast also lacked any fresh veggies 🥗. I hope they might consider implementing a lunch box service; I believe early-bird travelers would really appreciate it. On a positive note, I really appreciated that they had an iron available at the reception — that came in very handy. That said, I didn't find the facilities particularly comfortable or cosy overall.

The hotel room was spotless, and the bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. I really appreciated the double lock for added security, and my individual capsule felt very private. The soundproofing was pretty decent too. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and providing excellent service all around. The hotel's central location is fantastic; it's just a three-bus-stop ride to the train station, and there's a Coop supermarket right next door. Having a microwave, kettle, and fridge was a huge plus – perfect for instant noodles and pre-made meals. The bathroom was spacious and private, complete with a hairdryer. The self check-in system was available in multiple languages, which was very convenient. All in all, a really great stay!

Great hostel and home Mr Ray is superb host, he is welcoming and friendly As I booked the hostel, He shared all information via email and sent me free travel pass Hostel is situated at Hill , easily accessable with local transport , near to main station and markets Hotel is clean Room I booked was 8 beded but the room is very spacious as compared to other hostel. Washrooms were clean and spacious ,shampo, soap and towels provided Bed was sufficient in size and blanket was clean and comfortable Check inn was easy but no checkout , just keep the key in the locker and can leave Kitchen is equipped with all amenities I was on trip for 4 nights and each night was in different city but this hostel I found the best Must recommend . Mr Ray has made friendly enivorment and all other guests were also friendly .

Had a wonderful stay at bellpark! The location is super nice, really close to one of the best tourist attractions in Luzeren, the Mount Pilatus. Also it's quite well connected to the central city, plus Having a Lidl right next to you and a few kisoks is always a charm.. But for me the highlight of the stay was the friendly host, Apple, she was super accommodating and gave good tips on how to proceed with my travels, if you have any questions about the city and the excursions you want to plan, don't hesitate asking her. The location is near the Lucerne Station and convenient to travel around the city. The place is clean and well prepared with the suffiencient toileties and towels. A clean and well-prepared self-service kitchen is provided. The room is very friendly to solo travellers. Please check and understand the self-check in instruction for smooth check in process. great balcony view also. Highly recommended to the solo travellers, please enjoy your stay here.
