The most convenient location when getting off of the train, directly across the street from the station!
The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the town main street and has a restaurant right next door, also.
The hostel itself is neat, although there is no elevator it's only got 3 floors and the stairs were spacious enough so getting to the room wasn't too bad.
The mixed 6bed dorm on the 3rd floor was rather small, it may be challenging to move around it should all the beds be filled and everyone would have luggage. The pillow and duvet covers were really nice, clean and felt good on the skin. The room temperature was good. Both, the towels and the room locker were extra (CHF 3 for the towel, CHF 2 for the locker). The window was overlooking the train station, so although it wasn't ”mountain view”, it was entertaining watching people get off the Bernina Express and take selfies and posing as groups before hopping back on.
The bathrooms are separated for male/female and are spacious, the female portion was clean and the water was nice and hot.
The common areas had seating, electric kettle, books.. but nothing much was happening there.
The restaurant seemed cozy with its fireplace, it is a shame it is limited to certain hours :( and the guests are expected to leave promptly. Breakfast ends at 10am and the staff does check to make sure everyone is gone. Dinner is 6-8pm I believe, and again, after dinner the place is locked down. It would have been lovely to be able to sit by the fireplace after dinner.
Breakfast was tasty and provided some hard boiled eggs, yogurts, muesli, cereal, breads, jelly, honey...
Reception staff was very friendly and helpful!
Overall a great stay and I would stay again.

First off, the woman at the front desk was chatting and laughing loudly with another guest the entire time. Even though she clearly saw me waiting in line behind them to check in, she kept me waiting for about 15 minutes just to finish her conversation.
I've never experienced such a lack of consideration before.
Then, I bought cup noodles at reception and went to ask where I could get hot water, only to find her chatting with yet another guest. Again, she completely ignored me even though she knew I was waiting. After giving up and searching around for several minutes, another guest kindly showed me.
Overall, the staff's service was pretty bad across the board.
I was only told my room number, and it seemed like there was no specific bed assigned. The beds weren't made; the linens were just folded and left there, so everyone had to set up their own duvet covers, pillowcases, and bedspreads.

Grace Chee Wai AngThe location was further then anticipated. The room was exactly the same as shown in the ads.
Though yhe room we had selected was tiny, it was clean and the attached bathroom was big
However, the glass panel sitting on top of the side of bathtub isn't fixed, making getting in and out of the tub unsafe, as the glass panel is the only element that one could hold on to in order to step out of the tub. The receptionists weren't too interested in attenting to hotel guests.
But, overall experience was elevated due to its design/structure uniqueness; an ex-jail building. It's communal kitchen and lounge space were great space where we'd spent some of our time. There were also a lot of common shower rooms and WCs within the building, which was great as the 4 of us needn't queue for the washroom especially in the early morning.

Staff were helpful, especially since I arrived so late. Showers, toilets and room were very clean, and medium valuables lockers for CHF2 coin (returned on unlocking) available in room, and space to hang your jacket.
There were self serve pay-as-you go drinks and some light snacks available downstairs. Coming by foot, it's a bit of a walk uphill for about 15mins. Brekkie is short availability but has hot/cold selections. Your nearest food/coffee (bakery) is 15-20 min walk away.
Ski lift pass is $15 at front desk, go for the views and trails.

We booked Randolins just for 1 night as we took Glacier Express from St Moritz. The hotel receptionist kindly waited for us beyond 10pm closing time and helped to check in. The room was small but clean. Fresh air from the window not from the air conditioner and drinking water from the tap is something missing in daily life. The bathroom was on the corridor, but there were no neighbors so it was convenient and easy to use. I would say it is value for money.

It's very close to the gondola station, so you can park at the hostel and easily walk to the mountaintop. (A round-trip gondola ride is free because a guest card is provided upon check-in.) The breakfast is also excellent. Please note that although it is a youth hostel, there is no shared kitchen, so cooking is not possible.
