Really good! front desk is so helpful for activity booking and other inquiries, the common room is big and makes it easy to socialise.. kitchen is decent size for what its accomodating. rooms are standard for hostel - shared rooms have bed curtains and lockers, own outlets etc

It is an award-winning youth hostel, but it is still a youth hostel after all. Backpackers who like to meet new friends and want to save money can consider it. The rooms are in good condition and have a unique decoration style, but the sound insulation is really average. If you want a quiet sleep, you can basically ignore it or bring your own earplugs.

Location is excellent with lot of cafes and restaurants.
I took the Intercity coach which dropped off at the tourist information site. From there it is a less than 5 minutes straight walk and then turning right to reach the hostel.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist however do note it is closed at 6pm.
Toilet and shower areas are very clean despite huge group during my stay. Shower gel and towel are provided which is great for me.
I stayed in private single room which is good enough for me.
Have kitchen with fridges, microwaves, stoves , utensils, pans , cleaning soap…… paid washing machines.
U can parked your luggage after checkout for free.
Walking distance to Rotorua Central Mall which has a food court and McDonald n KFC for slightly cheaper meal options.
Entrance to hostel are always locked with passcode thus felt safe .
I will definitely stay there if I am in Rotorua.

The location is very good, very close to the attractions, free parking spaces, the shared kitchen is large, comfortable and clean, everything else is good, but the facilities in the room are relatively old. Overall the price/performance ratio is still very good

The hotel is in the center of town, the toilets
and the showers were clean, the receptionist was very friendly to me. It is one of the lowest prices in the city while the service is top notch. I would stay there again.

It's really noisy until 1 a.m. ㅠ I couldn't sleep.
Please refer to everyone.. The facilities are old and not good, except for the friendly staff and good location.

They dont have heating a/c especially in the common areas. It's impossible to use the toilet and bathroom under such circumstance.

Had a great experience overall. The location is really good, and the staff were super friendly. I loved the free coffee and the fact that they had full cooking facilities—super handy if you want to make your own meals.
The only issue was the shower—the hot water was hard to control. It kept switching between too hot and too cold, which was a bit annoying.
Other than that, it was a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for the price and convenience!

GGuest UserAs soon as we arrived, the alpacas and sheep greeted us, which was the most relaxing experience. Every morning, I opened the window in my room and was so happy to greet the alpacas, sheep, birds, and rabbits.
I was so happy that there was a bathtub in the room. The kitchen was equipped with cutlery, a refrigerator, etc., and the bathroom had a high-quality hairdryer.
There were more than enough beds for everyone, so we had fun discussing where to sleep. I was able to feel so much happiness at this lodge surrounded by nature. Thank you very much.

GGuest UserBeautiful clean tidy room. Service was excellent. Very efficient and friendly. The room was quiet and peaceful and had everything we could ever need. Loved that there was a spa bath in the room. The way everything was laid out and the excellent quality linen made it feel nice and luxury. The owners and staff have put a lot of time into makung the room and Motor Inn grounds look special and relaxing. It would be nice if the room had a bit more natural lighting eg one or two more skylights but there was plenty of good artificial lighting so the amount of light in the room was not a problem. Thank You For a Beautiful stay. This will be our number 1 choice whenever we come to Tauranga.

GGuest UserThis is a really well equipped room and we were very happy with our stay. The room is large and well lit. Comfy big beds and the air-con works well as it gets very warm in the room with the afternoon sun streaming in. We enjoyed the very vocal welcoming cat in reception too! The location is very close to everything you need during your stay.
Would love to have a sealed bottle of milk rather than the pre filled bottle, and there were toenail clippings all over the carpet by my side of the bed and the light bulbs were coated in dust; these were small issues but didn’t detract from what is a great place to stay. A little attention to detail and this place is close to 10/10.

The living room has air conditioning, the bedroom has heating, the kitchen utensils are also very clean, the children have a lot of fun in the hot spring pool, and there is a western restaurant at the door, which is very convenient.

GGuest UserThe so-called breakfast was too poor. It only consisted of two slices of bread, two cans of yogurt, a 200ml box of milk, and a few jams. They were placed in the room on the day of check-in. The key is that the yogurt and milk were not placed in the refrigerator. The so-called motel hot springs are just two tiled pools from the 1970s in China.
