Personally, I even felt a sense of luxury like the Ritz-Carlton in Osaka.
The location is within walking distance from Grand Central St, and you can get to Times Square by subway or taxi. The area around the hotel is very calm, similar to Nihonbashi and Kyobashi in Japan, and there are no shops like DELI or $1 Pizza. I think it's a location for adults.
Room facilities such as coffee maker and hair dryer are perfect, but refrigerator and mineral water are not installed.
Regarding the location, I think that the convenience and inconvenience will change depending on the purpose of stay, so I can not say anything, but the total evaluation is very high and it is a good hotel!

Most of the people staying here are young people. The whole hotel is very fashionable, with bright details and many small surprises. What impressed me the most was the infinite loop video in the elevator. It was really amazing. Hygiene: The aisles are very bright and the lighting fixtures are well chosen. There was a slight musty smell in the room when we first entered it, which is acceptable in most hotels.
Facilities: I have king size, but the room is not very big. But I love the interior design! There is an ottoman, long sofa and oval table, which is enough for two people to work and put on makeup. Special mention for his bed🛏! ! ! This is the one I will never forget the most since I have slept in so many hotels! ! Seems like I know what brand of mattress! It’s so comfortable! !
BTW the bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, the brands are good. No toothbrush or toothpaste is provided, please bring your own. Foreigners are more concerned about environmental protection.
Service: Breakfast is generally not provided, but room service is available. There are also two restaurants at the door where you can eat from morning to night. The food is good. Moreover, the neighborhood is the very fashionable Chelsea mkt, which is just two steps away and has everything you need for delicious food!

The hotel offered free luggage storage, which was great as we arrived around 10 am. The bar closed at 11 inside the hotel & didn't serve food. :( Elevator took a while to get on since there were only 2, and they always seemed busy. It wasn't too noisy - especially for New York. Great location - Carnegie Diner was just two blocks away. Also close to Seraphina, Ellen's Stardust Diner & Times Square.

It takes 40 minutes to walk to Times Square and a few minutes to walk to the subway station. There is a gas stove in the room, but no kitchenware. You have to prepare your own food. I don't mean to discriminate against black people here. But the first night I arrived was around 7pm on the weekend. After getting off the bus, I felt that there were many people around the hotel and it was quite chaotic. The hotel reception was on the 5th floor. After checking the Internet in the room, I felt that I lived in the wrong place. I traveled by UBER in the next few days and didn't dare to take the subway. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. It's just that there are many black people outside the hotel, and beggars occasionally approached me. I didn't encounter any unpleasant things around the hotel.

My sister and brother ended up staying with myself and my husband - and everyone had more than enough room. It was perfect location, just steps from Times Square and in the middle of all the NYC sights☺️ Views from the 47th floor were insane- my only recommendation to the hotel would be to wash the windows as they were super smudgy. I was only able to take this attached pic when I opened the window a crack. When we are in NYC again, we’ll book the W without a doubt!

I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace.

Location: The location is very good and very convenient. It is across the street from Central Station, where you can take the subway to almost any place in New York. There also seem to be buses to and from LaGuardia and JFK airports, but haven't tried them. There are many places to eat, and there is no problem filling up the stomach, but there does not seem to be a particularly good restaurant.
Facilities: The hotel itself is very old, so the rooms are older. Although it is a room facing the street, the windows are too small and the light is always dim. The air conditioner in the room was too loud and had to be turned off while sleeping. Fortunately, I don't need air conditioning when I go. If it is summer, it is probably a big problem. Maybe it is an old relationship, the smell of the room is not very good, but fortunately, the windows can be opened a little bit for ventilation.
Service: I have only dealt with the front desk and was very friendly at check-in. Overall, I think it is quite satisfactory, there is nothing to be picky about, and there is nothing outstanding. Breakfast is average, not included in the room rate, needs a la carte, not many choices, average taste.
Compared to the price, I feel quite disappointed. However, this is the heart of New York, understand. Will not stay again.

|21.08km from city centerThe room was nice and the onsite free parking was definitely a perk, the breakfast was pretty good, staff was nice to us and accommodating, definitely helpful. The only drawback was that it was far; in Staten Island and it took pretty long (with traffic) to get to Manhattan/Brooklyn/Queens etc.. and when we stayed here the ice machine wasn’t working, but the staff were always helpful in giving us ice in a big cup. Overall we really liked the stay here. There was also a free shuttle from the hotel to the Staten Island ferry terminal that would bring us to Manhattan.
